Traditional solid-bronze interlocking weatherstripping for old wood doors and casement windows. This collection includes the L-shaped weatherstrip used at door and window edges and the J-hook, or hook strip, used with interlocking thresholds and saddles.

Interlocking weatherstrip is also called interlock weatherstrip, bronze weatherstripping, brass weather stripping or metal weatherstripping. Properly fitted, the mating profiles form a durable metal-to-metal seal against drafts, light, insects and pests. As the old-timers say, “Nothing beats interlock.” We regularly find original interlocking weatherstripping still working after more than 100 years.

Interlocking Door & Casement Window Weatherstripping

For old door weatherstripping, the L-shaped profile forms the perimeter seal while the J-hook engages the interlocking threshold at the bottom. The same profiles are used in traditional casement window systems.

• L-shaped interlocking weatherstrip: used in traditional systems for wood doors and casement windows.
• J-hook or threshold hook strip: fastens to the bottom of a door or casement sash and engages an interlocking threshold or saddle.
