Finish

The small screw that holds the swing cover (the keyhole cover) on a Rocky Mountain Hardware deadbolt. If the cover fell off or the keyhole is showing, this is usually the screw you need.

Price is per screw. Order as many as you need. Buy just one, no minimum, free shipping.

How it works

  1. Pick your finish, or choose "Not sure" and we'll match it.
  2. After you order, we'll ask for a photo of your deadbolt.
  3. We confirm the right screw and finish before it ships. If we can't find the right one, we refund your order.

Where is the swing cover screw?

On Rocky Mountain deadbolts like the Stepped Dead Bolt (DB312), a flat cover sits over the key cylinder. It pivots on one slotted screw just above the keyhole. When that screw backs out or breaks, the cover falls off and the cylinder is exposed.

Questions people ask

What does Rocky Mountain call this part?
Rocky Mountain calls the cover a "swing cover" or "cylinder swing cover." People also call it a keyhole cover or key cover.

The old screw broke off in the hole. Will this still work?
Yes, but the broken piece needs to come out first so the new screw can thread in.

I lost the cover too.
