The Emtek 2291 is a complete mortise lockset for wood screen and storm doors. It has 6-inch rectangular-style escutcheon plates, an exterior knob, an interior lever, a mortise lock body, strike plates, screws, and matching trim.
Will this fit my door?
Use the 2291 when the door is 1 to 1-3/4 inches thick and the 1-1/2-inch backset, mortise pocket, plate dimensions, and handed door preparation match the Emtek diagrams. This is not a tubular-latch replacement.
Installation skill required
This lock requires accurate drilling and cutting a mortise pocket into the door edge. Installation should be performed by someone with competent woodworking or carpentry skills. Select left-hand or right-hand using Emtek’s handing diagram before ordering.
