Should I use a low-profile or standard interlocking bronze threshold?

Choose the threshold profile based on three things: available height under the door, sill depth, and weather exposure.

  • Low-profile: use when you want the traditional interlocking seal with the least sill height.
  • Standard: use when you have room for the larger traditional threshold profile.
  • Water-return: use when rain control at the sill is a primary concern and the opening can accommodate the deeper drainage profile.

All three systems use a door-bottom J-hook that engages the threshold. Before ordering, review the installation guide with photos so you understand the door trimming and fitting required.
